PAC Academy New Principal Announcement

Dear PAC Staff and Families,

We hope you are doing well during these uncertain times of COVID-19. We definitely miss seeing our scholars and parents within the schools and we cannot wait to see you at the start of the new school year! In the meantime, we hope that you are staying engaged academically and are using this time at home to enjoy your family.

As you know, PAC Academy has undergone a number of transitions this school year, most notably instituting a temporary co-leadership model led by Mr. Steven Sandor (Prek- 4th) and Dr. Shavon Chambers (5th- 8th). We thank them both tremendously for their ability to seamlessly navigate the untried model without disruption to PAC’s scholars.  At a time when we needed stability most, they successfully adapted their respective leadership styles in a manner that put our school family first.

As we look forward to next school year, we are pleased to share that on Friday, May 15th, a selection panel of teachers, parents, and BEN Leadership staff approved the appointment of Mr. Sandor as the PAC Academy Principal, marking our return to a single leader school.  The decision to resume the single leader approach was made prior to Dr. Chambers decision to pursue other endeavors (outside the MPTCS Village). I am confident that we made the best choice to keep the consistency that PAC Academy desperately needs right now for our scholars, staff, and families. Mr. Sandor has the village mindset we need and with support from all stakeholders, he will be a great leader for PAC Academy.

We are forever grateful for Dr. Chambers’ years of service and commitment to the village and wish her great success on her future endeavors.

I would like to thank the staff, families, and community for their patience during this transition time, rest assured the PAC Academy is once again on the rise.

There will be an event that will allow families to meet Mr. Sandor prior to the start of the school year. Further information will be shared once that event is finalized.

Sincerely,

Chaleeta Hines, Chief School Administrator
