Leadership Institute

Dates: 

• Week One: Monday, July 28th - Friday, August 1st
• Week Two: Monday, August 4th - Friday, August 8th
• Week Three: Monday, August 11th (PM Session) and Tuesday, August 12th (AM Session)

Times: 

• 8:00 am - 4:00 pm (1 hour for lunch)

Location: 

• Leadership Institute will take place in the Blackbox Theater at 125 Sussex Avenue, unless otherwise noted.

New Staff Institute

Dates: Monday, August 11th - Wednesday, August 13th

Times: 8:00 am - 4:00 pm (one hour for lunch)

Location: 125 Sussex Avenue, Newark, NJ 07103

***New Staff Institute is required for all new employees for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year as well as any staff who started after New Staff Institute 2024 (check your email for more information). In addition, any returning staff members are welcome to attend these sessions in order to be better prepared for the upcoming school year. Please complete this form.

Summer Institute 2025

Dates:

• Week One: Thursday, August 14th - Friday, August 15th (Summer Institute 2025 will kick-off with our Village Convocation @ NJIT)
• Week Two: Monday, August 18th - Friday, August 22nd

Times: 

• 8:00 am - 4:00 pm

Locations: 

• Convocation will take place at NJIT Campus Center (150 Bleeker Street, Newark, NJ 07102) Ballroom A & B, 2nd Floor.
• District-Led PD Sessions will take place at the HS (125 Sussex Avenue, Newark, NJ)
• School-Based PD Sessions will take place at each school campus: PAC (28 Burnet Street), STEAM (370 S. 7th Street), HS (125 Sussex Avenue), and Sankofa (88-108 Shipman Street).
